Halloween dinner inspired by the folklore of plants

An evening of food and folklore! Each of the 5 courses will be accompanied by a short talk about the meanings and associations of different ingredients in folklores that have inspired each course, and a few ancient customs and rituals for everyone to partake in to mark the passing of Samhain and get blessed for the year ahead.

THE EVENINGS PROCEEDINGS

Greeting:
Rowan charm workshop

Protection:
Crispy fried turnip cake, hawthorn and rowan ketchup
Oak leaf wine

Divination:
Buttery charred leeks + braised cabbage with roasted hazelnuts

Remembrance:
Burning Willow incense
Salted cinnamon apple crisps

Preparation:
Mushroom & chestnut filo cigar, smokey celeriac mash, hedgerow and rosemary gravy

Blessings:
SOUL CAKE and La mas ubal from the wassailing bowl
(sweet roasted apple drink)

PARTY BAGS!
Meditation tea, pumpkin candies, protective charm

There is some homebrew being served but BYOB!! Chilled out good dogs are welcome.
